Hey Zoe this is a little story I wrote for you. Here is the opening paragraph i hope you like it.
The trees are a blur as Vladryn agilely rushes past. The dawn is chasing him, he must get back to his coven quickly. "How did I let the night escape me?" He asks himself. Never in his fourteen and a half centuries has he ever experienced such an ellusive prey. The light is gaining on him, he can feel his flesh start to heat. He is so close to home yet so close to being destroyed. He almost laughs to himself for making such a novice mistake. Especially since he is considered an ancient even among his kind. Fortunately since he is an elder he is faster than most of his kind, and considerably so to a new born. In the high tense moment of the sun breaching the horizon he enters his domicile. "I must be more careful next time." Vladryn chuckles to himself.
